I'm only going back to someone I watched live while I was in school. I'm not going back to those I watched on a 19" black & white while I was in junior high or high school.try a little harder
I'm not defending Schiano, I just think that '16 unit was pretty salty (and it was that way much more consistently than 2014 which was epic for about 2.25 games in the postseason).
That's what some of his Buccaneers players said about him.Feels like all of the talk on coach has been scheme related and general stubbornness but I’ve thought he just never won the room. It just seemed like he hasn’t ever connected with the players like the great coordinators do. It’s always apeared to me like he came across smug and it has maybe come across that way to the players too. I mean, I’ve heard people talk glowingly about LJsr, the silver haired coffee guzzling firebreather DB genius, Coach Fick, etc but I’ve literally heard zero from the players about Schiano. Perhaps it’s not fair to judge a coach by that but it has always seemed weird to me.
Which I submit would've been about 21-24 with a competent let alone good offense to hold the ball. They gave up 31 to Clemson.
