Greg Paulus (HC Niagara University)

By itself, this Paulus deal wouldn't really be much.... I mean, I'd still probably rip RR a bit, but just because of where he coaches and how it looks... But, this publicity re-affirms to me what we've been saying since almost day one... RR is in over his head at a school like Michigan... If he was behaving this way at WVU (and he pretty much did) no one would hardly care... we'd probably "expect" it and wouldn't talk about any particular "damage" it's causing....

He has been offered, however, a chance to join the team and compete this fall for the quarterback job.

From Forcier's perspective this would be the issue - not whether he was on schollie or not. If the coaches reassurance was that there was no scholarship without clarifying the latter agreement I would categorize that as disingenuous.

Any guesses on who the b10 team is? Could Greg's courtship ruffle feathers in AA, only to see him head to East Lansing?

That would be the best opening in the b10 besides UM, since PSU, OSU & ILL are full, and MSU has some decent WRs (especially if they can learn how to catch).
How about Purdue? They use a passing spread offense which is much more suited to what he ran in high school as opposed to the style of spread Michigan runs and they just suspended Siller, their potential starting QB.

Not a bad suggestion, especially since Siller was a RB most of that season. The downside is that they lose two key playmakers in RB Sheets & WR Orton.

I don't think it will happen, but of the other Big Ten teams I think Purdue would make the most sense. Of course there are downsides like losing playmakers, but let's be honest what program considering taking a guy who hasn't played the sport in four years isn't going to have the same downsides? Nobody that has a chance to compete for a conference championship is looking to add Greg Paulus.

TSUN = The Shenanigans Up North

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg"]YouTube - Benny Hill Theme[/ame]

Can we somehow get that to play when the thread is opened?

EDIT: I was hoping that I was the first to think of Benny Hill. :lol:

I would pay 50 to see a steel cage match between the two...

I don't think you really need a steel cage for something that would look like this...
