I'd probably take Marshall over Minnesota.

Minnesota is in the midst of a major facility upgrade...that would be a no-brainer.

Bama has a ton more talent than Minny and Shula wasn't able to do anything to speak of there. I seriously doubt that his name is even mentioned for the positon.

It is a dark scar on Holtz's career that at Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame , and South Carolina were embarrassed by NCAA infractions for misconduct that largely occurred while on his watch while coach at all the above schools.

They mentioned at the top of the MPC Bowl broadcast that Coker wouldn't mind not going to an elite program, as long as he could make a difference.

Think he could be a candidate?

Well, he did coach at tOSU didn't he? So, he's a good coach, he's available and he's familiar with the Big Ten. Sounds like a definite possiblity.

Mason sure has his shortcomings, but what caliber of coach wants that job? Their football atmosphere is quite lame.
I wouldn't count on beating IN or ILL consistently in the future.

I can see Illinois giving us a hard time over the next few years, but in the rest of my lifetime I'll probably see the same amount of Indiana wins over Ohio State as they've had in my one-week-short-of-50-years on this planet...and that would be two.
