Giovanni Strassini: A Football Fantasy

I'm very familiar with Sporcle, and I have to say that that smacks of someone deliberately seeding misinformation for the sake of spreading it around the web for credibility. Sporcle has broad based trivia, and even the general OSU fan population is going to have a hard time rattling off a lot of non-major-player names from the 70s. No way one dramatically outpaces contemporary players, and those who won major awards.

Without sounding like I need a tinfoil hat, I'd describe a lot of this as a conspiracy to create history, without any idea regarding how many players may be involved.

Honestly, I've asked myself a couple times if we're being trolled. Even if we are, it doesn't change the fact that apparently false information is being intentionally spread about the web as a simple matter of fact -- and that someone (or someones) has (have) been doing that, dedicating themselves to that, for some time.

You don't have to have a tinfoil hat on to say there are some damned odd coincidences going on within this story, even with the known fraudster involved and this alwaysthere poster...

 

During the site overhaul (coming, coming -- I have the software (not vBulletin), I have all but one mods, I'm sorting out how to make it as graceful a transition is possible so there's little to no re-learning curve once driven by the new software), maybe it's time to create a forum for our epic OT threads. This, McNeil, surely there are a few others that qualify.

I was a member of the Ohio State Buckeye football team. I was elected to the Ohio State Hall of Fame. I scored four touchdowns in one game. This is all a matter of record. Clearly I have enemies who have attempted to scrub my accomplishments from the record books. I have contacted the proper authorities, and they will be dealt with severely. Severe consequences shall be their lot in life.

Now, if anyone would like to get beyond this whole, crazy mess that has been started, I would be happy to answer any and all questions about my time playing alongside Archie and Corny and the illustrious records we wrote for THE Ohio State University.

Are the film clips of the claimed TDs by yourself doctored by the same folks who handled the Grassy Knoll and Area 51 films? Perhaps they're more contemporary, like the keepers of the real 9/11 film?
