Ginn Sr/MI HS Coaches: Tired of Lloyd

I'm surprised you think it's such big news. I think it's a smart decision on our part. We're not going to get any other players from Glenville while TGinn is around so why waste the time and money.

I'm not sure I see where the "waste of time and money" comes into play since there are many other schools in the Cleveland area that produce D1 talent, like St. Iggy and St. Eds for example, that scUM recruits.

Every Glenville kid "has no favorite" until January when the Buckeyes magically come out on top. TGinn does a good job of getting publicity for all his kids by keeping his seniors uncommitted until late in the process, but it's not like we don't know that OSU is really the extremely large favorite no matter what the kids tell the recruiting services.
that's about the dumbest fucking thing I've heard in a while. you sound like the little brother who can't beat the older one so you just quit.

hmmmm....I guess it's not so dumb

MICHIGAN LOOKS FAR
Michigan Head Lloyd Carr went with more of a national recruiting effort, and that may have ruffled some feathers among the state’s high school coaches. The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association didn’t invite Carr to be the organization’s keynote speaker at its “Super Bowl” clinic in Battle Creek in January. It invited Tressel instead.
But you can’t blame Carr for going out of state. Michigan got players from 11 states, including a couple who seemed destined for the SEC. That’s not easy. The one disappointment in this class is not landing a scholarship tight end, though Carr said he would sign at least one more player before April.

Damn that is ironic and funny - also of note, one of the other speakers that day is Mark Dantonio - now UC Head Coach, but always a Buckeye to those here.

Still, though this is humorous I am guessing this means less than it seems. Though my opinion on that would change if someone shows that Carr was previously a perennial keynote speaker to this group. He was invited last year, but missed the event being "snowed in" while visiting Da Burg.

Now if we can just get Kerry Combs(Colerain coach) to become tired of him and not send his kids to camp up there and instead bring them to Columbus.

The Bucks just signed Connor Smith, Colerain's wide body lineman.

Withrow, who no one outside of Cincinnati has heard of, had 13 kids sign. Can we say speed?

OSU has consistently done well with the GCL teams; Moeller, Elder, La Salle and St. X.

The important thing is that Cooper changed a poisonous attitude toward OSU down here and turned Cincinnati into a place where the Buckeyes could recruit.
