between that holding call and the ridiculous block O glove penalties, that game was a total farce. the officials were the only thing that kept osu from dropping a US Grant on those clowns.

What every ref needs from time to time....

Are you implying that every ref needs to be kept in line? If so, I disagree. I think that the majority of refs/umpires/whatever at the level I watch* do an excellent job at what they do. It is a far rarer thing to see a blown call than to see the call made correctly, even if you only consider the "close" plays. But a thread on well-officiated games isn't fun.

Seems to be a lot of uproar over the call on Garnett last night vs Philly. Personally, I thought it was a good call. You can't take a step and lean way over to set a screen. Shaq and Chuck thought it was egregious though.

Umpire Bob Davidson has received a one-game suspension for his repeated violations of the Office of the Commissioner's standards for situation handling, Major League Baseball announced today.
