Tonight is the NIGHT!
I have to admit, the SECCG was a real punch in the mouth. I lost faith and confidence in this team. But after my Dawgs neutered those gluttonous striped weasels in Miami, and the heart those Dawgs showed bouncing back from a tough loss, has given me the confidence that this could be THE TEAM.
I was so inspired from the Orange Bowl win, along with plummeting ticket prices on Stubhub/Seatgeek after TTUN lost, that I decided to drive up to Indy to witness history.
On the way up, I stopped in Asheville, NC. Now, I’m not generally the superstitious type, but I decided to consult with a local psychic to gain some insight on how the game will go. Apparently Ashville attracts a lot of psychics because it resides in the middle of something called “Ley Lines,” which are alleged alignments of ancient monuments that were built according to the position of the planets. Discovered by Alfred Watkins in the 1920s, they are said to carry strong electromagnetic fields that stimulate people’s powers of perception and memory and raise their vibrational frequency. This is very attractive to those with purported psychic abilities.
So after a quick Google search, I walked into the psychic’s office, wearing my Red Nick Chubb Jersey and my white “G” Cleanup Visor. She couldn’t give me any specific predictions about the game, but she did say that she sees a lot of joy and happiness in my future. You know what that means.... connect the dots….
With ALL the signs pointing to a Dawg win, here is 5 Star’s 5 STAR NC Title Game Preview, with my 5 Key STARS for why I am absolutely CONVINCED that we will witness a resounding UGA victory tonight.

Yes, I know that none of those players will be playing tonight, but you know that this fact will be resting in the back of Saban’s mind tonight.
His mind will be full of thoughts like “Holy Shit, Georgia’s gonna be STACKED next year and hereafter…. They’re going to have some sick charts and pie graphs next season too!”
Will it cause him to panic? To have an amygdala hijack? To make mistakes under all that stress? We’ll see….
Injuries
In particular, Metchie being out makes Bama 1 dimensional. If you recall in the SECCG, they were moving the ball at will until Metchie got hurt. Afterwards, UGA figured them out and closed the gap, albeit too late. Tonight UGA will have that decided schematic advantage for all 4 quarters. Do the math.
Heisman Curse
With Bryce Young winning the Heisman, Bama has shot itself in the foot. It’s well known about the Heisman curse, when a qb wins the Heisman gets hosed in the NC title game.
The list is extensive: Chris Weinke, Jason White, An unnamed qb in 2006 Sam Bradford, and Marcus Mariota. Not to mention those who lost in the 1st round of the playoffs: Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray.
Can you think of a Heisman winner ever gone on to win the NC?
Exactly.
So expect Bryce young to flop tonight with a MAJOR Heisman Hangover.
Rematch Revenge
Not only is there a history of top 5 teams playing twice with the loser of the first game winning the rematch, all of the disrespect that Georgia had gotten from the aftermath of the first game will be fuel for them to play with a chip on their shoulders.
Georgia is going to be highly MOTIVATED to play tonight while Bama might overlook them. That might come back to bite them.
Stetson Bennett
Look at his Orange Bowl stats: 20-30, 313 yards passing, 3 TD and a QBR of 187.3. Add to that 32 rushing yards on 3 attempts for an average of 10.7 yards per carry and WOW can you say COMING OUT PARTY? Add to that having a few extra weeks of practice with 4 Stars who are playing like 5 STARS Brock Bowers and James Cook and 5 STARS George Pickens and Darnell Washington and Stetson Bennett is looking to have a HUGE night tonight. One that will make him a Georgia Legend.
A lot of Georgia insiders were saying that Kirby felt like he was playing with house money in Atlanta and kept his cards close to his vest to see what Saban was going to put on film. It was a chess move so to speak. Allegedly he’s going to really open things up tonight and run up the score if he gets the chance.
The stars and the 5 STARS are aligned.
