Georgia +8.5 at Auburn (ov/un 65.6) 3:30 ET, CBS

I watched it at a bar that had the Ohio State game sound on. Was that FUCKING CECIL on the sideline? If so, that's just fucking despicable. Hey Auburn, are you so utterly lacking in any sense of perspective or class that you can't even keep Papa off the fucking sideline? Do you not realize that just sends a very clear and simple message of "we don't care; we do what we have to to win, and we celebrates da shiite." Wow! What you did tonight was akin to USC giving sideline access to Reggie Bush's agent while the NCAA was breaking down the door.

I saw Bo Jackson on the sideline giving Newton a high five after a TD. I thought surely that isn't Cam's dad.

Did anyone else catch the end of the game when the Georgia QB got hurt and the little fight broke out? I thought #90 was playing a dirty game. Driving the QB into the ground on numerous plays, the announcers were saying he had been doing it all year. He also had another hit where he damn near lead with his helmet right in the lower back of the QB, well after the ball was gone.

Checked out the videos of Fairly's cheapshot antics. Before he took Murray out of the game, he laid one helluva shot into Murray's back with his helmut. I hope the kid finds his ass on some sort of pine for a while.

That hit on Parker didn't look nearly as intentional.

In the NFL, that would be about 75K worth of fines. Maybe Fairley can borrow some money from Cam Newton once he gets to the League..

I just hope something comes of it.

Your "humor"'s not lost on me LJB just don't like that kind of stuff at all.

Thought I might chime in on this thread since I managed to get into the game at a fairly decent price. Had a lovely day (until the 2nd half started) and was absolutely fuming after I left the game. 24 hours later - I think I've cooled down considerably and can offer some decent perspective on the game. I really don't know how much people will care since Georgia is a below average team but its worth a shot.
---------------
1. I don't know if I've seen a player take longer strides than Cam Newton. When I think of really speedy QB's, I think of Pat White. Newton isn't nearly as fast, but he takes two steps and he's already picked up 8 yards. Regardless of how he got paid, he's very impressive to watch live.

2. Cam's a better passer that Tebow too.

3. I think Georgia gave it absolutely all they had. They simply ran out of gas and had no more horses left in the stable. I was proud of the effort and thought that the team showed class in defeat.

4. Speaking of class - this is a pretty classy message board where alot of great commentary takes place. I'll clean up my thoughts on Gene Chizik by saying "I hope, sometime in the near future, alot of really, really awful stuff happens to him....sexually"

5. For the first time since 2005 - a win over Auburn next year is of greater priority to me than a win over Florida. And I want it circled on all calendars in the locker room and if possible, I want the score RUN UP.

6. Other than Cam Newton and Ryan Mallet, Aaron Murray is the best QB in the SEC and I'm thrilled he'll be in Athens for at least two more seasons.

7. I'm not alone in my thinking on this one, but it wouldn't surprise me if around the conference ALOT of SEC people are hoping Alabama and S.Carolina whip Auburn and they get shut out of the National Title game.
If they win out - I'm opening rooting for their opponent.

I can't think of the last time I've rooted for a conference team to blow their shot at the title, but the 2010 Auburn team takes the cake. I've never seen a more dirty team play in person. And the worst part about the Cam Newton nonsense is it casts a dirty shadow over legit titles and BCS dominance by all the other teams in the league. They sold their soul and I hope their reckoning hits like a cinderblock tsunami.
