Muschamp: WRs Dunkley, McRoy to leave Florida program

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida receivers Chris Dunkley and Javares McRoy are leaving the program.

Coach Will Muschamp says Dunkley and McRoy are planning to transfer. Muschamp made the announcement Friday, six days after the Gators completed spring practice.

Dunkley, a 6-foot-2, 172-pound freshman from Pahokee High School, did not play last season and was suspended during the spring for academic issues.

Dunkley says "it's in my best interest to get a fresh start somewhere else."

McRoy, a 5-foot-9, 159-pounder from Lakeland, enrolled in January. He wants to play with his brother, Ben, at Texas Tech.

Cont'd ...

Even though I am of the opinion that pot should be legalized, regulated and taxed like alcohol, how can one person be this dense to keep doing something that he knew was going to get him into trouble? And to light up out in the open when you have no idea who is around, well that is just idiocy.

They were talking about this on the radio this morning, and I have to agree with hosts (one of which is a UF Alum) that he will be looked at as a liability by many of the NFL teams in the supplemental draft in July due to his track record.

Bragging on the women. In only our second year of woman's lacrosse, we beat traditional power Stanford 13-11 to advance to the Elite 8 versus the Dukies....(Dukettes?)....or Penn.

Trying to keep up with y'all and make the top 10 in the Director's Cup.

One of the young ladies on that team is from my sons high school. She wanted to go there to be part of the start of the women's lacrosse program at Florida.
Our AD Foley went all out for the start up. Coaches from visiting teams are now having their teams dress out in their buses rather than use the "visitors" locker rooms, as they don't want their teams to see that our visiting facilities are nicer than their home facilities.

That sounds like horse[Mark May].
Could be. I can't personally verify it, and the link is obviously biased.

http://www.alligatorarmy.com/2011/4...-readies-for-biggest-match-in-program-history Edit: and we beat #2 Northwestern :banger:

One says that some dress out on the bus, the other at their hotel.

Unlike many programs, where women's sports are the step-child of the athletic dept, Florida has two lacrosse fields, one for games and one for practice, so they do not have to worry about sharing practice or game time with other sports.

The game field is a separate, stand-alone facility with its own locker rooms, training room, equipment room, press box and concession stands/rest rooms. We put millions into it when many AD's budgets are being shrunk due to the economy. Kyle, you don't just go from nothing to top ten ranking in one year without an angle. Foley did a George Steinbrenner and bought us a contender for 14.3 million dollars.
