Since someone brought up our runningbacks I thought I would update you some.

Mack's comment about Selvin from yesterdays scrimmage was not what I would call a glowing report. In the practices I saw he did not look that impressive, and appears to have lost a step. He ran a 4.36 at a camp as a HS senior, but I have no idea how fast he really is now, probably still quicker than Benson. While I hope he does well, I am begining to suspect that he will not be our starter by mid season. I am also not one who ever thought he pushed Benson. Benson was injured at the time, and it still wasn't that close.

The coaches are insisting on using Ramonce as a general purpose back and have been using him more at WR lately. I do think he would be our best RB, but I don't expect Davis and Brown will use him that way. They want to save him for 10 or 15 special plays a game.

Charles is starting to come on and could be the guy by mid-season. As a true freshman I don't expect that he will have more than a couple carries against you this year. He is pretty fast, but not as fast as Ramonce.

Melton is our new 6-3 270 pound RB. There is no fat involved with that 270. He is reported to have run a 4.56 40 in camp and I believe it from watching him. He has a good burst through the hole and can mash people. He may get the call in some short yardage situations.

I might take that bet if you gave me great odds that he would be stone sober. Is he ever not in a haze?
No, not that I can tell, but he is also your typical, slow moving, texas drawl/pothead austinite....It is a very weird city but it mixes hippy and cowboy and toughguy and musician and all sorts of crap, MM might be the epitome of an Austinite

I hope he does show up the VC though. I would gladly buy MM a shot or two. That dude is sweet. Hopefully he shows up in his kick ass get up from Dazed and Confused, those peach pants are awesome. "Thats what I love about those high school girls man, I get older, they stay the same age...Yes they do."

Texas?Osu Tailgate

When established, could someone please post the exact location and
details for your tailgate. I've printed the football parking map-so could you list the building/ parking lot name with the corresponding building number on the
map.
Could you also list anything we could contribute as we would be more than willing to help out.
We're one Texas fan and one Buckeye fan coming down from Toronto without tickets so could you also list the best bars to watch the game in case we don't get in the game.
i guess I should have asked if Texas fans are welcome. Hope so. Sounds like a great time.

See you in Columbus

Mick

Lace up or slip one? I had a friend from Texas that would only wear burnt orange-y lace up cowboy boots from a certain brand (Justin's or something like that, he used to talk about it way too much)...it was the first time I ever saw lace up cowboy boots probably, though he was a city kid (and an Oklahoma fan), so probably different than you folks
Lace up boots? I have never seen any like that either. Very strange. Then again, he was an OU fan.

And hey, Man of the House couldnt have been that bad. (never saw it, I swear)
Weren't all those girls in their skivvies for half the movie?
