I remember the "Texas Alumni Renting out Hineygate" Rumor. Which is even more ridiculous.

Anyway, not to mention the PR nightmare it would be for the VC to do this... but I remember hearing a number for their "take" on a big gameday (I believe the number was for Washington State in '02... and things were kicking down on Lane that day)... it was OBSCENE... I don't remember what it was, but I was sure the report I heard had one too many zeros... so... I mean, to reant it out you'd have to guarantee that type of revenue... so it would literally cost 6 figures to rent the place out for a game like that. Not to say Matty can or can't afford that, but... there are also other cheaper venues too.

Lace up or slip one? I had a friend from Texas that would only wear burnt orange-y lace up cowboy boots from a certain brand (Justin's or something like that, he used to talk about it way too much)...it was the first time I ever saw lace up cowboy boots probably, though he was a city kid (and an Oklahoma fan), so probably different than you folks :)

Don't feel bad about the belt buckles, I know a lot of Ohioans that have gigantic belt buckles that they won as trophies at rodeos or livestock shows when they were younger

Actually Ex President Richard M. Nixon, the man who made the Longhorns National Champs, is coming back to lead Bevo onto the field. Kissinger is doing the coin flip and Hugo Chavez going to dot the i so that Pat Robertson can pick him off from the top of the press box. Other than that, it's just another game day in the 'shoe.

Of course we haven't run out of things to talk about. Nobody has brought up Ginn racing a train (and winning) or Vince Young parting the Red <strike>Sea</strike> River or turning water into wine. :roll2:
