ESPN's "SportsCenter" devoted about 5 minutes of its late Tuesday night and early Wednesday broadcasts to Saturday's game. Ohio State sports information director Steve Snapp said Tuesday that 1,000 media credentials were issued for the game -- the most in Ohio Stadium history.

I have been lurking for a while.
Sorry but the misquote brought me out of hiding. Ricky is second on total rushing yards against a single opponent. He has 750 against a&m and Dorsett has 754 against ND.
just had to set the record straight, I can't wait until Saturday...

Okay it's time for exhawg's play of the day. Today we'll look at a trick play that would put the ball into the hands of the playmakers and slow down Texas's pass rush, Double screen right. On the snap the QB immediately looks to the RB. If the DE to the right, who is unblocked, covers the RB the QB will look back to the left. If the DE rushes the QB he will dump the ball to the RB. The RT and RG will flash like they are going to block then run out to block for the screen. The RT runs flat down the LOS and blocks the first thing he sees, most likely the CB. The RG pulls up the hole and blocks the first thing he sees.
On the left side the far receiver takes 2 steps up field then turns and runs back toward the QB. The inside receiver blocks the CB. The LT blocks the DE, but loses ground quickly then cuts the DE after a 2 count. The LG and C block for a 1 count then release with the same rules as the linemen on the right.
The QB slowly gives ground and tries to draw the DL up field on the pass rush to get them out of the play. If the RB is covered by the DE on the right the QB immediately throws the ball to the WR back on the left. With OSU's talent at RB and at WR this play would probably work a few times a game and would easily be out the gate if run properly.

I was listening to the show on my way to get lunch
Mmmm Pulled pork slathered in cole slaw.....
I thought it was interesting that Tress would have even talked at all about Erik.
I didn't get to catch the whole show but I also enjoyed the discussion about the Tx WR's and DB's, as always Tress is all class and heaped praise on the whole team Mac included finding something positive to say about pretty much every facet of their program (no the special teams of Tx didn't come up when I was listening).
