Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

Texas has installed the biggest video screen known to man in Royal-Memorial's south end zone. Measuring 55 feet high and 134 wide, the mammoth, high-def ProStar screen spans about two thirds of the end zone. Texas' players have already inquired as to whether they can hold their annual Madden tournament on it.

this would be fun

I just can't comprehend the greatness that is needed to explain football at the university of Texas.

Maybe one of these days you'll be blessed the way that we are

Im tired of this ......so ill sww you later
That was your smartest post yet. I am glad that bchorn came around a little bit, but fever, you are making some outlandish statements, that definitely do not reflect many of the Texas's fans opinions.

I watched a crap load of Troy Smith last year, as tOSU's games were readily available on national TV. I also kept up minimal dialogue with this board later in the season. Basically, what I saw was a steadily improving offense, with a kick ass defense. Texas was fortunate that they didn't play Fiesta Bowl tOSU last year in week 2 (I am not saying that Fiesta Bowl tOSU would have beaten Rose Bowl UT, but they would have taken care of week 2 UT). (I was in Vegas losing my ass off before the Fiesta Bowl kickoff, and laying money on tOSU was the easiest bet I made that week, parlaying it with Texas was the kicker though.)

So this year, I am hoping, damn near praying, that we get the reverse of last year at best: tOSU with what looks to be a kick ass offense, and the beginning of a steadily improving defense. I have no doubt that Troy Smith will be one of the most productive offensive players in the nation this year. I am just hoping that we can expose your defense a little bit and let Tressel make adjustments after Sept. 9th. Then all we need is the ball to bounce our way once or twice more than it does to tOSU, and we can come away with a victory. I don't really see how anybody can look at tOSU's past (yards, points, victories, etc) and take any part of this team lightly.

On another note, this thread needs definitely needs week one to be played out.

I'll start.

Texas won't even know what hit them. You know why? Because I am going to this game. Every away game that I have personally gone to, we have won. Also, in the history of college football, the visiting team has ALWAYS won in this series. It is UNCANNY. 100% of the time, the visiting team has won, and 100% of the time Ohio State has won on the road when I'm there to witness it. So thats like a 200% chance of winning this game, or a whopping 10,000% chance if the two factors are multiplicative (which I'm pretty sure it is).

Fear us.

And my response to this is x-ray's posting history. I win.

If there is one thing that Buckeyeskicksbuttocks can't stand, it's when people refer to themselves in the third person... unless, He refers to himself in the third person but with pro-nouns. Then, He thinks it's funny.

Try it some time while at work.

"Hey, can you get this report done?"

"Sure, He thinks He can do that."

"Who?"

"Him."
