Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

despite your statements you will be better in the middle of the defensive line... pardon me... but #90 is enblazened in my brain... and there's no way you're better next year than with that beast in there... I am so wanting the Browns to take Wright... I refuse to believe you have two better than RW.. :wink2:

since it was such a serious conversation and all :roll2:

Oh yes. We had that rule go into effect a couple years ago(2004) against East. Except I believe there was no running clock(Maybe there was, wasn't at the game myself). But they did shorten the quarters in the second half to 8 minutes. Final score was 72-0. East had no business playing us that night.

But back on the college level. I don't think there is a "mercy" rule on the college level. Should there be? Maybe so.

I just received this email from a buddy with strong ties to several texas boosters.

well the Ohio St game is scheduled for prime time tv again, 7pm i believe, ABC picked it up. Apparently Mack wants to move it to 230pm and make the buckeyes have to play for 3 hours in texas, at the hottest time of the day. i wouldnt mind it for the team's sake, but there is nothing more miserable then watching a game at DKR at 230pm pre-novemeber.

i guess drinking commenses at 8am.

For everyones sake(sans the longhorns) lets hope this game stays a night game, or maybe we can get a cool front to blow through

Come on Mack Brown... we didnt make you play in the dead Columbus heat, repay the favor.

Seriously though, this is a question for you Texas fans, will Mack Brown put a spy on Troy Smith, and if so, whom would it be?

C-Bus dead heat is nothing compared to Texas dead heat. I say if Mack gets his way and has that game played early, that the next time we play Texas, Tressel gets the game moved to the week before Michigan. In the cold. Freeze their asses off.
