USC has been off the last couple of weeks and Penn State has been up. USC has been decimated with injuries but I wouldn't give them the bye. It would say something about OSU our two losses were to teams in the championship game. Still, lots of football to be played and USC is a darn good second half team.

Interesting scenario to think about....let's say Fresno had beaten Oregon, and then beat USC, and finished undefeated, having beaten the 2x defending champs in the process. As a WAC team, I'm sure they'd be in the top 6 to get a BCS bid, but what claim would they have to play in the championship game?

and here is exactly why Bush deserved the heisman last year, and definitely this year:

R Bush 9 carries 118 yards 1 td
M Leinart 14 of 22 102 yards 0 td

bush has ALWAYS been the mvp of the trojans, and naturally more deserving of the heisman. sadly, the heisman doesn't usually go to the best player (as seen by Bush's 5th place result last year)

i've tuned into non-abc/espn broadcasts of USC before, and heard the exact same thing. it's sickening.
