In all reality, USC will most likely walk away with this one. But, hypothetical, if USC were to drop this one, does this put JoePa and the Nits in the Rose Bowl? Or does USC get a pass? Remember chOklahoma in 2003.

let's hope so. though it probably doesn't matter, we don't want oregon to have beaten fresno state, which beat usc, which wasted oregon. nobody except for some oregonians wants to watch oregon in a bcs bowl game. oregon should consider moving farther south if they ever want to secure some at-large bids... or they should develop an alumni association as deep as osu's, travel as well as osu does, spend as much as osu does, monopolize national viewership and media consideration as much as osu does, build a history as strong as osu's, and... well, this could go on for a while.

It probably puts Penn State at #2, at least momentarily. Of course a wild card could be LSU, who is already rated higher in the polls, and will presumably jump up in the computers with their SEC championship game, though playing Arkansas and Mississippi to close doesn't help. It would pretty much be a mess.

Hypothetically, I think they'd still get in. Even with a loss, they'd still be considered one of the top two teams in the country in the "beauty contest".
