Overall, great game; especially for us in the 2nd half....

Defense started to scare me for a minute their. Especially that huge missed tackle by Jenkins at the opening 3rd quarter drive for Wisky. Couldnt have finished more strong though.

:oh:

Oh, for heavens sake - neither of those interlocutions are constructive.

Bernini - Wisky played very tough, they played very passionately today.

But, in the end too many high grade players for the Buckeyes, too many high grade plays by the Buckeyes, overcame several gutsy trick play calls by BB for the Badgers.

Wisky did itself proud.

Ohio State covered the spread - and won going away.

When people recount this tale, I hope it's accurately represented as a battle, in spite of the final score. Unfortunately you have people who are ignorant or have agendas (a couple here probably), who will unfairly misrepresent because that's their less evolved nature.

Anyways, good game to those who could have a civil discourse this week. I was correct in believing that a team who had "difficulty" with the Citadel and UNLV would cause the #1 team in the nation to sweat.

The difference was Wells taking over on the ground, the OSU pass rush, and a couple breaks going OSU's way. When the ball bounced off the Buckeye coverage member you were very fortunate that caromed directly to your returner. Otherwise, the Badgers are in prime position. Also, Bret Bielema just made a boneheaded decision with the fake punt deep in our territory. I'm sure it caught OSU by surprise, but it was poorly designed, and put the Buckeyes in immediately in field goal range when they Badgers were obviously still in striking distance. That was a gimme. Not to mention numerous penalties and some very unfavorable field position situations. The Buckeyes would have won anyways, however we're probably talking about a one score differential approximately instead. When you're trying to pull the upset, you need to get takeaways, and play mistake free. The opposite occurred ironically here. The Buckeyes knew the Badgers were being immensely aggressive, so they ran a couple counters shrewdly. The defensive line terrorized our offensive line at times, however they held enough to allow us substantial plays in both run/pass.

Exciting for a while......Good luck the rest of the season.

Quite the comment after a game like this...

very composed and not flaming out. Insightful too. I agree with much of what you said, the part I don't agree with... It doesn't matter you're definitely worthy of letting it go..

best of luck to you guys the rest of the way!

I feel terrible for those of you who did not see today's game because of the Big Ten Network.

But for those of us who are at a point in our lives when we can simply change TV providers because of a situation like this; today was incredible.

Instead of a quick cut-away to the 3:30 game, I got to see:

  • The Mid-Field Prayer
  • Carmen Ohio
    • Tressel was clearly choked-up
  • LIVE coverage of the post-game presser
    • Tressel still choked-up (did this game mean something to him or what?)
  • a half-hour of post-game (maybe a little more) of post-game coverage
Again, I hate that some great Buckeye fans didn't see the game today. But holy crap was that an awesome way to bask in the victory. You just don't get that from games on the Disney family of networks.
