NIU is a better football team then Bowling Green, and Bowling Green doesn't have Garrett Wolfe.
Buckeyes by ALOT.
Btw, I know someone will bring uo NIU/BGSU vs. Ohio, but don't base our team off of that. We also lost to Ball State last year. We are a MUCH better team then what we showed.
jeremyp;624795; said:Arguable point, however NIU lost to Ohio U. at home, 35-21...we here at BG just beat Ohio U. on their turf 21-9, so does that mean we're better than both teams? The MAC is always wid eopen in both football and basketball, every team plays differently every week.

Welcome to BP! Good Luck Saturday! In reality, BGSU will need a lot of it!Falconfreak90;625058; said:Hey Fellas,
Wanted to drop by and say thanks to Buckeyeskickbuttocks for the invite. I'm a proud 1990 grad of BGSU and have been a season ticket holder since 1996. I've also been to every BG/OSU game at the Shoe.
I thought OSU would struggle on D losing all those starters but ya gotta hand it to Tressel and his staff...wow. This could be one of the greatest college football teams in the last 25 years. The OSU offense is too loaded.
As far as Saturday, I know BG faces a huge task in trying to hang with OSU. In 1992 and 2003, BG could have won but didn't. This reminds me more of 1997 when OSU was just too much. BG will play hard and fight but with so many freshmen playing against a veteran OSU team? Very difficult.
I predicted two scores on AZZ.com....my orange and brown glasses score and my outsider view score. In reality, BGSU will have a difficult time in this game although I'm one to always say "Ya never know".
BTW, any bad blood on our site can be tied to a certain troll named Tekini, or something like that. Personally, I don't care about OSU cuz I didn't go to school there. To me, it's just another school...although my Grandfather played hoops at OSU in the 1930's.
I'm bringing my wife ('89 OSU grad) and two boys, 10 and 7, and we'll be sitting in 33B...right about where we were in 2003.
GO FALCONS!

NIU's worst performance of the year BY FAR was against Ohio. IMHO they experienced a HUGE Buckeye Hangover. Their defense was just plain discouraged. They were convinced that they were as bad as OSU made them look, and that just isn't the case. They somnambulated through that game and gave up more rushing yards to OU than OU has gained against everyone else on their schedule COMBINED. NIU is not even close to being that bad.
Mind you, BG would definitely be able to run on NIU; but GW would leave a cloud of Falcon feathers in his wake as he chalked up another 300 yard day.
By the end of the season, I highly doubt that there will be room for discussion regarding which of these is the better team.

This is Dan from over on Ay Ziggy Zoomba. I would first off like to send my congrats on a great season so far. I think that this game end up alot like the Cincy game you guys played earlier in the year. After a big emotional road victory in a hostile environment. The buckeyes could come out of the gates a little slow and hopefully the falcons can jump on that start. I see it being a little close at half time then OSU shows their overall talent and depth catches up with teh falcons and OSU ends up cruising to a 35-10 victory. I am a lifelong Buckeye fan because if you live in the state of Ohio, you must root for the Bucks, but since i was enrolled at BG, they are #1 on my list and i will be rooting for the falcons saturday. Lets hope for a clean injury free game between the two best football programs in teh state of ohio. Good Luck to the Buckeyes the rest of the way! Also kick the crap outta scUM!!!! (Michigan)
Go Falcons!

We understand scUM, we don't however tolerate the full correct spelling of THAT state up north, LOL..
Oh8ch;625098; said:Welcome visiting Falcons. Just wanted to apologize for any posts you might read on here that suggest a complete lack of respect for BGs chance of winning this game. If you do read such posts likely as not they were written by me. Here's one now.
I like the MAC. Really respect their teams and some of the efforts they make against major programs. I too was in the Shoe to watch BG test my Buckeyes. I like games like that. Almost found myself rooting for you guys. Under the right circumstances there is no question a solid MAC school can upset an average, or even above average, Big Ten team.
But this is not a solid MAC team. Not this year. You are young and you are not deep. And this is the fastest, deepest OSU team in at least 45 years - which is roughly how long I have been following the Bucks. After the September we have had we may well come into this game flat. It wont matter. You may get some breaks. You may get all the breaks. It wont matter. We might turn the ball over a few times and make some bonehead mistakes. It simply wont matter.
You do not have an answer for Pittman and Beanie running behind Boone and Rehring. You do not have an answer for Smith throwing to Robiskie and Hall, let alone Ginn and Gonzo. You do not have an answer for Gholston or Patterson or Pitcock. You don't have an answer for anything we will throw at you. Some teams do. You don't.
The BG game plan should be to run the ball, run the clock, and get out of town with enough healthy players to finish your MAC schedule.
