Game Thread Game One: Ohio State 38, Youngstown St. 6 (final)

Anyone think that places such as BW3's or Frickers will be able to show the game like they did with the IU game being on ESPNU last year? Cause if i cant get tickets to this game and I have to miss the opening of Buckeye football 2007 somebody will have to pay...:mad1:

FYI, I moved several posts discussing the Big Ten Network over to the thread with that title.

Talking about the coverage for this game if fine in here; but a general discussion of the Big Ten Network (costs, debates about cable/satellite networks and other channels) fits in better over there.

I'd be willing to bet that tickets will be cheap for this one come game day.

About 3 years ago Ohio State signed a young man by the name of Louis Irrazary and he came out of Youngstown Ursuline high school and the staff was pretty hign on him. Well he got into a bit of trouble and was dropped from the team. He went back to the Y-town and last year he was playing for YSU as second team tight end. Maybe Hubbs or Mililiani can come up with some info on him and if he is still playing for YSU. And for him to come back to the SHoe would be big for him with hopes of something to prove. Just some thoughts here.

He's a senior this year....

81 Louis Irizarry (<---- link)TE 6-5 255 Sr. Campbell, Ohio/Ohio State/Ursuline

As for having something to prove... he should have thought of that while he was in Columbus instead of robbing and beating people up.

I think you are right on that one. I should have worded that in a different way. Perhaps more like he should be lucky to come back into football and
have a chance to start all over again.

Agreed. I think he has had more than one chance though. Just one of those people that seems to make bad decisions at every possible opportunity. I really hope those days are over and he has got his life straightened around.

Any idea on what conference they are trying to get into? I haven't heard anything about the MAC, but we need another team for football because we have 13 right now.

The rumor that I heard (emphasis on "rumor") is that the MAC is hesitant to bring in another Ohio team. They've already got something like 25 teams from within Ohio.

Hi Everyone

I thought I'd say hi as a new forum member. As a Columbus native who lives out of market, I thought it was about time I get my act together to get current on the quickly approaching 2007 season.

I have a lot of reading to do because I know little about the development of the new 2-deep & the potential new players who might make a big impact in '07.

What's up with playing 1-AA schools? I don't care if YSU is from Ohio or not!! The mighty Buckeyes don't need to be playing against such weak competition. What's next, a cross town rivalry with Cap? Just the same, I cant wait to see the Bucks hit the field in September even if it's against such a weak opponent.

:oh:
