To be fair, he was refuting my claim that Pitt rushed down the field. I was going off a previous post that I misread, as Pitt only accounted for 5 yards on the final drive.redskinbucksfan said:I don't care if Pitt tripped over his shoelaces and fell in from 1 inch out, scoring the game winning touchdown in the biggest rivalry game in sports in their house is C-L-U-T-C-H. Either A. you were trying to shut me up or B. I agree 100% with your post.
Speed and Michigan's D don't really belong on the same keyboard. Nobody is going to buy that argument.G-FORCE said:EDIT:

I did that earlier in the thread before it turned into a brewhaha (sp?)Neither, it's what I think about NIU. Edit - well, I guess B...
Anyway, we've heard about Wolfe... tell me about Horvath and your WR and your D and such. I know very little about them, who to look for etc.

Here ya go.Oh... I'm far too lazy to find that now...![]()
Wolfe isn't clutch? Our last three games of the year (all-must wins mind you) he had 107 carries for 724 yards (6.8 YPC), and 9 touchdwons. That was in 3 games! He averaged 241 yards in our biggest games of the year.
...
If Pittman is such a "clutch" back where was he in the Michigan game?
Pick one and stick with them. There was a 4 way controversy last year (Davis the now WR, Horavth, Nicholson, and Zach Ullrich) Horvath won it out of camp, and played every down (well except for blow outs) until he got hurt. Then Nicholson got his shot and led us to 3 huge wins.Does NIU rotate QBs, or will they pick one and stick with him?
Western Michigan was who I said, not Eastern. I never even mentioned Central Michigan. I said out 3 biggest games were Toledo, Western Michigan, and the MAC Title (Akron). You, again, need to check your facts. Michigan, Northwestern, and Toledo were probably are toughest ranking wise, and Wolfe ran through all 3 of them.Uh, you're really not getting my point. These may have been important games in winning the MAC, but these weren't your biggest three games of the year. They were games against weak opponents, only one barely into the top 50 in the Sagarin ratings and one outside the top 100 in the 110 Div 1A teams!
Rank Team Power rating W L SOS SOS rank
49 Toledo A = 73.57 9 3 62.39( 111)
72 Central Michigan A = 68.97 6 5 69.01( 75)
105 Eastern Michigan A = 61.50 4 7 65.08( 92)
I think I made my point. When you needed Wolfe to perform against tough teams outside the MAC, he didn't. Pittman did.

Give us our 3 biggest games, and I will give you Wolfe's stats them.
And they finished 5th in the MAC.I know you said it a couple pages ago, but I am still trying to figure out why you think that NIU is twice the team Miami was last year.
You do know they had TWO 1000 yd. receivers and a 1000yd rusher. Their QB who was lost all day threw for 3700 yds for the season and they had a lb that was a freak athleticly and I believe ended up getting drafted somewhere.
So once again I pose the question how is NIU twice the team Miami was.
