Game Thread Game One: #1 Ohio State 35, Northern Illinois 12 (9/2/06)

We gave up on the running game in Akron part 2? Wolfe had 42 carries for 270 yards. Not sure if I am mis-reading your post, or you were just that wrong.

Poor wording and recollection on my part, the 9/24 contest has Akron more angling to stop the run, yet it does not work to stop the scoring. Notably, on neither occasion does Akron lose.

We really should give NIUHuskies a pat on the back for seeing his way through that post to come back with the correct stats though.

Yes because we played sucky defense.

Hint: read the thread, I say NIU will lost because we won't be able to stop you.

Will lose because NIU won't be able to stop OSU I think you mean.

And again, can you ask me the question you asked me again, cause I have no idea what you want me to address.

By the way, NIU fans, did you just skip over my Darren Sproles analysis?
Yes I did. Wolfe is not Sproles, and you have a grand total of 0 players on that defense playing for you this year.

It is meaningless.

Name the players. Josh Betts is 1/4 the player of Garrett Wolfe.

On the post to which you replied I was my normal reliable self. I meant fan-base when I wrote fan-base. That G-F would be you or NIUHuskies telling us how good your mainstay(s) are - and then coming back later to say - boy that was tougher than we thought it would be.

The place to see such post-mortem confessionals is in the Reference Locker.

You said that many you have heard on many occasions people come on this board and say you have never seen a player like ___________.

Who were the players? They need to be a running back because you dis-credited my Josh Betts comment.

Well, first it doesn't follow that MAC fans came over saying OSU had never seen the likes of player A that player A must be a running back. Second, I said comparing a QB to a RB is not worth discussion, plain and simple.

Off the top of my head, OSU had never seen the likes of Martin Nance, Ryne Robinson, Terna Nande from Miami.

Lets see.. unstoppable backs that have been stopped... Michael Hart, twice, Larry Johnson, Jamaal Charles.. just off the top of my head.

Look, I respect you guys being amped up about your team. I do. But, if you think Ohio State football is like playing against Maryland (or worse, any team in the MAC), you're in for a rude awakening.

It is in no way shape or form meaningless... see our fans are proud of our school because every year, we win. And we win in one of the best conferences in America. Its something that people call a track record. Somoething that NIU doesn't have. Year after year, Ohio State has great defenses, and trust me, it won't change anytime soon.

Maybe we are, or maybe you are.
