We don't run a spread offense. We run one of the most "NFL systems" you will see in college. We hardly ever go 4 WR, we never use a FB, we go 2 tight ends with 1 or 2 WR, we go 3 WR, we never run the option, we don't normally go shotgun (although I have read we might use it more).what type of offense does Northern Illinois run? Pro? Spread? If not's spread and rely's heavily on the RB, then you are dunzo. You will be served and still be in shock when you play OU.
???
We play Ohio State and Iowa this year. Ouch is still correct though. The Iowa game is much later in the year.
Even if he was to say that Ohio could beat NIU, that is fine. It would be very hypocrytical of me to jump on someone for saying that, but come on. We will be shocked and stunned by Ohio University because we don't run a spread offense? LOLHey if Solich sobers up for a game or two, they might suprise someone

Just to clear this up, the original post said that if NIU doesn't run a spread offense, then NIU will still be in shock when you play OU (as in Ohio University). He wasn't implying that Ohio will beat NIU's asses up and down the field. He was implying that Ohio State will beat NIU's asses up and down the field, and NIU won't have recovered in time for the OU game.

Really it has no gimmics. Now that I say this we will probably run some gimmic against you. lol
It could be different this year because we have the most talented and fast offense we've ever had.
Thank you Zurp. That is what I meant. I am not predicting an OU win over NIU. OU is looking at another 4-8 season. I'm just hoping that the Huskies will still be hurting from the previous week, which is pretty much a given. That would create some hope for OU. Hopefully Bower will be starting then (Bower transferred from the Illini). If NIU tries to run the ball on the Bucks, they will get banged up and hurt. You're only hope is passing the ball. Since you don't run spread, OSU will be able to lock up on your receivers, your QB will then get eaten alive by Wilson, Gohlsten, Richardson, etc.
