Game Thread Game Five: Penn State 17, Ohio State 10 (Final)

I second NGA. Whitner will put the fear of God into the froshies early, thus eliminating their best weapons, and Ginn will finally not have a penalty called on a return for a td. I look for Smith to keep improving, but I think the punt return game will be the major difference tonight.

i have to go with kudla as the silent or not-so-silent difference. he will be facing a back-up offensive lineman and will likely force robinson to make hasty decisions with the ball. while robinson can be effective running the ball, he also is prone to throwing picks and fumbling on the run. furthermore, ohio state has already faced vince young. robinson is an apt runner like young is, but he does not have the arm.

I believe that the defensive and offensive lines will be the difference. If the O-line makes hole for Pitman and protects Smith well, our offense will put points on the board. If our d-line jams things up and contains robinson well, PSU will not move the ball consistantly. I hope that Teddy has a breakout day, but even more importantly, I hope that Smith hangs on to the ball and distributes the ball well to our talented skill people.

Good Place to Watch the Game?

Please help! My little sister is in town, and I want to show her how awesome the Buckeye's are in Columbus.

I want to take her to the best place in Columbus to watch the game - hopefully somewhere a little bit rowdy where I can celebrate without getting strange looks.

I'm willing to drive anywhere in Columbus to catch this. Also, keep in mind she's not 21 yet.

Let me know where it's at!

Quinn Pitcock and Josh Huston.

Quinn will get a push all day on PSU disrupting running and passing lanes so our "athletes" in the back seven make play after play.

Josh Huston. Josh is quietly aiming for our second straight Groza award. His fg's may be the difference today in a close game.
