Game Thread Game Eight: Ohio State 45, Minnesota 31 (final)

May I just note, I love seeing our players help the opponent up after tackling him. I've seen Whitner do it twice today. Great sportsmanship. :)

Agreed. On the first deep pass that was completed, the ball was underthrown, and that is near impossible to defend for Youboty. What would some of you have had him do, look back too early, and thereby get burned long for a TD? No thanks.

On the fade pass into the endzone, that was a perfectly thrown ball, and a nice catch on a ball that Youboty did indeed tip.

This reminds me of the garbage that people laid on Dustin Fox when he had one tough game against Illinois a couple years ago. One tough game does not define a career.

All I was suggesting (and the announcers agreed) was that Ashton did not see a few of the balls even coming and if you don't see the ball, there's no way you can defend it! Period! Maybe you missed their comments as well.

I never said that this was a defining game in Ashton's career, but for whatever reason, today has not been his day. Whether this results from his hip injury or not, they haven't been making big plays on Jenkins on the other side.
