In a recent interview with Chad Simmons, Maddox Davis stated that he grew up seeing his dad cheer for Ohio State. His dad is from Ohio. We are in his top three with Miami and LSU. The Bucks are contenders for Davis, Brysen Wright, Lorenzo McCullen Jr., Braylon Clark, and lead for Jett Harrison. I know we need numbers for each class, but what is the point in going after the 2027 WRs super hard if we have a stocked 2028 class?

I still believe Ohio State is setting the bar early for the Georgia native, who is originally from New Jersey. The Buckeyes continue to cause Davis to light up with a smile from ear to ear when he talks about them. That said, this recruitment is far from over. We'll see where he visits this fall, and we will see which schools continue to move the needles for him as time progresses.

Loy mentioned that Clemson, LSU, Florida and Ole Miss will be involved. Georgia and Miami are two others that are lingering as well.
Davis has just two game day visits planned so far, Ohio State vs Michigan and Alabama vs Georgia.
