James Laurinaitis stopped by the school today. Rembert has the measurements to be used like Arvell Reese.

From the same HS as Caleb Downs. Wiltfong said that OSU is going hard to flip him after missing out on Curry(OU) and Williams(staying with IU)

Newly offered LB Braxton Rembert has locked in his visit to OSU for the UCLA game on 11/15.
As a senior Rembert has 42 tackles including nine TFLs and nine sacks in the first eight games with seven more hurries. He has forced three fumbles, deflected six passes and intercepted one.

One name I’m surprised hasn’t announced a visit for this weekend is Elijah Littlejohn, thought for sure we would be all over him but maybe Laurinaitis has turned his attention to Braxton Rembert.
Rembert recently got scouted by ON3 and this is what they said:

Wake Forest linebacker commit Braxton Rembert is a prospect who has made a very nice jump as a senior. The 6-foot-5, 200-pounder showed intriguing flashes on junior film and has the high-end multi-sport profile that points to a developmental upside. We’ve seen Rembert tap into that sizable potential as a senior at Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek, where he’s excelling as an outside linebacker. He’s a versatile defender with a bunch of range. Rembert can run sideline to sideline, is physical at the point of attack, looks to be comfortable in coverage, and is very effective as a pass rusher. The production has also taken off, as he’s totaled 42 tackles, 9 sacks, and an interception in eight game. It’s not surprising to see college interest pick up for Rembert, with Ohio State making a push. A three sport standout who is an outstanding high school basketball player (region player of the year in a high classification) to go with a 6-foot high jump in track and field, Rembert is the type of high upside prospect we typically see from senior risers.
