GA DE Lebbeus Overton (Texas A+M Signee)

TAMU has 6 DL recruits in the top 100 already committed: 2, 10, 16, 46, 58, 93 and a 7th somehow committed in the 400’s. If they pull this kid something incredibly fishy is going on there.

I predict UGA
Nothing fishy they have the NIL money and deals lined up and hte kids are choosing that…

"I'd say priority-wise, it's always going to be school and academics, who's going to provide the best academic opportunities for him in business and engineering. Secondly, it's going to be where can he go and develop to become a better player, and that's the order. So it'd be principle-based."

Of the schools he listed, seems to me his logical choice would be Ohio State. We'll see.

Edit: I guess A&M is the logical choice with the #11 ranked engineering school. Did not know that. OSU comes in at #30

Seems weird this thread is sitting at 2 pages.

This guy is a major prospect that just made a really big announcement at the 11th hour almost to switch into the ‘22 class where he is now the #17 overall player. He’s going the JTT route but in that case it was known all along. This seems to have happened out of the blue somewhat. Is that a case where you can see the difference that NIL is making on the sport?

Seems like he must already know where he’s going to make this late change in his recruitment.

OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
It starts with Larry Johnson, as it usually does for a prized defensive line recruit. Overton really enjoyed watching film with Johnson when he took his visit up to Columbus and said he learned a lot that he was going to apply to his game. Ryan Day’s energy has also stood out, and Day has done as good a job recruiting Overton’s mother as any coach during the process. Overton loves Ohio State’s scheme, he enjoyed the atmosphere on campus and is scheduled to get back to Columbus campus for the Ohio State spring game.

A&M will have the best defensive line college football have ever seen. They’ll be able to rotate throughout the game to keep guys fresh. Fortunately for us, they still gotta get through Alabama and Georgia for that to be our problem.
