Easily a top 10 prospect overall and I would even argue maybe #1 overall...he is that good. We are on him like a hobo on a ham sandwich, but given his talent so is everyone in the country. But there is plenty of room for optimism right now, word is the nuclear family really likes OSU. Obviously UGA and Bama will be tough to beat out, but we have to throw the haymaker towards landing him. As good of a class as we have at the top with JJ Smith, Justin Scott, Noland, Moore , West, etc., KJ would be the headliner in my books even with the talent we have amassed at safety in recent years.KJ is a safety with a LB's body with WR speed. He's on a different level than any of the other safties we're in on. And if he wanted to play WR, he'd be a 4* prospect there. Easy to see why he is so coveted. I just hope his HS team keeps him at safety next year so he can specialize in that position and not have to worry about duties as a WR
With that said though, I feel like he would pair well with Jaylen McClain. The physicality and athleticism of those 2 in the back end with McClain's strength in coverage could be a nightmare
But yeah, I hope we throw the kitchen sink at KJ. He's the caliber of difference maker that wins trophies
I wouldn't put him above Jeremiah ranking by talent but as far as need for the program and talent combined, I'd say you got it right. We get the best WR's every year so pulling the best guy on the other side of the ball would be a coup for us especially from down there.Easily a top 10 prospect overall and I would even argue maybe #1 overall...he is that good. I think it is a debate but for us yes...our WR room is stacked and an elite DB like KJ is exactly what we need (and an elite OT like Baker but I digress).I wouldn't put him above Jeremiah ranking by talent but as far as need for the program and talent combined, I'd say you got it right. Figured that's the pick for most of the process even though we had a legit shot. Would have been a pretty big upset to land him.Just read an article that Bolden is leaning more towards UGA. Wiltfong has predicted Bolden to the dogs.
Something's gotta give on Georgia's safety situation. If they were fortunate enough to get KJ to commit to them, that would give Georgia 4 of the top 6 safeties in the entire country... in one recruiting class
And money is moneyYeah, I’m baffled but I guess home is home.
I guess the latter is exactly why I shouldn’t be baffled. I just thought playing time and lack of barrier sold itself
