Makes sense. Huge talent obviously but also seems like an excellent culture fit...kid is going to be a future captain.

Another post from Georgia’s 247 insider who was at the game last night and talked to Barner, he said most around Barner name Ohio State as where he will ultimately land. He loves the vision Ohio State has for him as to how they will use him, particularly at Safety.
He said Barner will be committing sometime in that December-January window and NIL discussions are expected to start throughout the fall, most likely after his season ends.

As of the beginning of this month, Texas A&M’s insider said Ohio State is still the team with the buzz for Casey Barner behind the scenes. He said the same for Braylon Clark.
I think Georgia wisely knows this which is why they accepted a commitment from Nick Carroll.

Penn State reported a month or so ago that they felt Brandon Murphy was also leaning Ohio State. If they take 3, my guess is it is Barner, and 2 of 3 of Flowers, Murphy and Nash.
