From a UW fan...Kick the @#$# out of Florida!

It's fun to see what the other fans say. I get board when everyone thinks exactly like I do. I'm glad this board is open to others and hasn't tried to stomp me...yet.

You won't get stomped here as long as it doesn't become trash talk. This site was, in part, created to get away from all that trash talking. Sure, we still have idiots on this board because of it's rapid growth in the last couple years, but most here are fans of college football and love having fans from other parts of the country...

Nice post DaddyBigBuck. I think the final score will be 21- 17, I'm not sure which team will get the 21 though.

"And UF has lost 3 of their last 4 to slow plodders from the B10? Thats what I've heard."

Fair enough, but two of those were under the leadership of the worst coach in the history of Florida football. It's a wonder he even got the teams to a bowl. Luckly the talent overcame the bad coaching. It's like a knife through the chest to even think about those dark years.

...and 5 of the 7 losses you heard about came under John Cooper. The last one came under Tressel in his first year with Coopers players, the first one was in the 70's.

Everyone can spout excuses if they want to.

You're kidding right? I don't think that matters in the least. It doesn't matter where you play it's WHO you play.

That Nebraska team is arguably the greatest college football team of all-time. and for the rest of those games you have to go in to the '80s and beyond, before Spurrier was our coach. We never won anything until he got here.

Like I said we are a young program compared to yours.

Homefield advantage is a factor, like it or not. The fact that the Gators are 0-5 outside of the south in Bowl games only goes to prove it. (I could also look up other SEC teams or refer you to USC's record away from LA)
It's known that certain teams have historically had a home-field advantage in bowl games.

I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee (C of 2004), so i think I am pretty well versed in going against Florida. They are hated in Knoxville....and for good reason....they ALWAYS show up in the big games. I was born and bred an OSU fan from birth, because my father graduated from OSU..... but I think all these Buckeye fans that are expecting a blowout will be SORELY mistaken. I do think OSU will win by about 14 points....but i expect the game to stay VERY close up until the final minutes. UF barely beat Tennessee, Vandy, and got a MIRACLE to beat South Carolina(including the other 3 FG's that SC missed earlier in that game). UF's defense is for real I believe....but i also believe most of the offenses in the SEC this year were sub-par. Way too much is being made of UF's "supposed" speed advantage.....this confuses me...where is the advantage??? At QB.....nope. At RB?? nope. At WR?? Noway. in the secondary??? I dont think so....Id put #2 up against any gator DB in a sprint. This is going to be a great game, and i cant wait!
