FREE NCAA 2009 Rosters

I read somewhere that the guy that charges for rosters offered the guy that owns that free site $5,500 so he can "buy" it. Of course he probable would have killed the site so he can make money for nothing again.

I can't believe the guy turned it down, I know I wouldn't since it only cost the guy $9 to register the site in the first place. Plus alot of people know already that you can get the rosters for free this year.

From my understanding the ea locker would kill someone trying to make money on it anyways. There will always be people who don't do any research and will pay for the easiest way to obtain it. Kudos to the guys that made ncaarosters happen. Obviously they just care about playing the game.

The roster file for the xbox 360 is already available via Pasta Padre's EA sports locker. No fee, no download. Just connect to his locker whenever you get the game. This is only for the Xbox 360 though.

Do you have the game already? If so, have you downloaded the rosters and how accurate are they???

I don't have the game yet. If all goes well, I hope to get it tomorrow.

Awesome. I usually get mine from DT Linder and PSXSports but might give that a try this year.

The aforementioned dickweed has bought that site from DT.
Yeah, that guy bought each of the roster sites for around $5k. He's apparently been selling other peoples' work for the past several years. Hopefully this will shut him down.

I have used DT Linders rosters for the past 4-5 years, and they are awesome. But this BK guy is the one who is going to ruin it for everybody if he doesn't stop his shenanigans

So what's the background on this whole buyout thing and what's this BK guy been doing?? I noticed just a few days ago the forums for psxsports was gone and no mention of DT and his rosters. Not to mention prices jacked up.......

This BK guy bought DT's website for 5k supposedly through a 3rd party and DT didn't know it was BK. However DT has a new website, I can't remember what it is but he does have a new one.

BK is Brian Kladenburg or something like that. He charges for rosters, which is not allowed. He has made a ton of money off of it, and could ruin the roster editing for everyone because of this.

The big hubbub was a couple years ago. Fairdale King who is a poster that gave away his rosters caught BK stealing his roster and then reselling it. FK actually made up a few players to see if someone was stealing them and lo and behold each of his "phantom" players was in BK's roster.

To top it off BK has been buying up alot of other sites the past few years and actually bought FK Rosters website using a 3rd party. So alot of people thinking it was FK's website bought it from BK.

The bigger issue is now this year there should be NO reason to actually pay for rosters. Heck, last year you were able to get them for free too. But BK basically takes advantage of the casual gamer that doesn't read message boards or even realize that you can get rosters for free.

So what BK has been doing is trying to buy any website that would be the first to pop up on any yahoo or google search for NCAA rosters. Cuz it would totally ruin his "business" if the top result in any NCAA roster search is a website that says it will give you rosters for free. ( I mean it is a good business practice, but it takes advantage of players that aren't in the "know")

The other issue is the bigger picture that might impact the actual game. The reason the rosters need to be free is due to NCAA rules. If the NCAA realizes that someone is making a profit from "amateur" players name they might force EA from allowing rosters to be edited in the first place. Which would just plain suck.

Thanks!!! If you find DT's new site let me know. I've been using his rosters for about 5 years myself and I can't imagine using anything else but I'll give Pasta Padre's rosters a try.
