Fred Davis (official thread)

Anyone else here think that maybe, just maybe, that wasn't really Coach Rios? I love how those idiot USC fans just totally bought right into it. Now, whether it really was him or not, I don't know, but sure as hell would question it...

I sure hope it wasn't the real guy. I didn't go read, but it would be pretty disingenuous to be a coach and confidant and then going around preaching about conversations on messageboards/rumormills. That's just not good.

After reading him during the whole FD recruiting saga, I have no doubt it is him...

I couldn't imagine doing that to one of my players....

Most coaches have the sense to stay anonymous at least...however, I do know of two coaches in my local area who are banned from numerous SEC/ACC message boards for lying about their players. One guy is responsible for Hivera Green's verbal to scUM...that didn't go over too well with the Clemson/Gamecock boards. The "Mr. Bucknuts" of the Clemson board even wrote a front page article discussing coach's ethics in regards to their players and recruiting. Amazing stuff...

He shared it last year, and may win it this year. That combined with he has alot of his team coming back next year, and his great recruiting classes not even playing yet, could help USC become a dynasty.

Yes, that was a long runon sentence.

Guys,

USC is a very good team. I for one, talked to Fred atleat 15 times his Sr. year, and I would have bet everything I own he was going to be a Buckeye. Just watching how he got along with all of the children of the coaching staff, the coaches and fans, it really was incredible. I saw a lot of love in his heart.

I don't think anyone really knows why he went to USC, especially his coach, let a lone, a slob like me. But I do feel that there are two issues; a) "$omething made him change his mind, b) It had to be an important rea$on a$ he hurt a lot of his family and friend$.
