Fox Sports 1 (at least its not ESPN)

Unpopular opinion: the stadium is morgue-ish for most games. Michigan, obviously not, but many of the rest of the games...lots of the tea and crumpet set sitting on their hands, and students not paying any attention to the game.

Just sayin': Except for the seat licenses, football in Da Shoe is somewhat evolving into the same situation as basketball in the Schott.
1. The ticket prices keep going up.
2. They are pricing out the average fan and most students.
3. I'm guessing at this one; but I'll say that with the big money and fancy cars the players are getting now, they do not connect/interact with the students like they did when I was a student. The students don't look at the football players as being "one of us" like they did years ago.
4. The best seats go to season ticket holders that are donors, facility, and others with "connections".
5. Overall most of the fans in above category (#4) are older and do "sit on their hands" sometimes.

Haven’t been to a game in a few years now. Used to go every year, but living out of state turns it into a very expensive affair. The cost and availability of decent seats has really made it a difficult proposition.

Son-in-law reps Elijah Craig and made the deal with tOSU last year. Hoping maybe to benefit from that relationship this season :sneaky:

Have we not established the fact that controversial is better than bland in the media world at this point in the human experience?

Who was delivering quality programming on PBS when Jerry Springer was on? Anybody?

Latest Gus Johnson interview shows he should never announce Ohio State vs. Michigan

He might not be able to hold off on his bias based on this latest interview.

A recent Gus Johnson interview shows why he shouldn't do the Ohio State football vs. Michigan game any longer

Anyone who knows about Johnson knows that he is a Michigan guy. He usually does a pretty good job of hiding his bias during those calls, but a recent interview revealed that might be harder for him now than it was in the past with TTUN on a four-game winning streak in the rivalry.

During a recent Michigan event, Johnson was interviewed and was bragging about how much he loved calling Michigan games, especially during this win streak.

"Now, it feels like this is a Renaissance. A golden age. Four straight wins...I had a chance to watch JJ McCarthy, a guy they said couldn't throw the deep ball, throw it down there, and he's a bad dude. Don making those big plays against Ohio State, in playoff games, championship games. It's just been a wonderful ride."

Johnson clearly has a rooting interest in those battles between the Ohio State football program and TTUN. If the quality of his overall broadcasting hadn't started to slip, this may not anger Buckeye fans as much as it does right now. But FOX probably should start looking for someone else for that top spot.

Johnson has been an excellent broadcaster for a long time, but his time as one of the best might be coming to an end. It might be time for someone else to get the privilege to call Ohio State football games.
