For those who will be at the game today........

I kept sitting to keep from blocking the view of those behind me, since nobody was standing up. I eventually got to the point where I stopped caring and stood anyway.

You gotta do that at the beginning! Fuck them. They don't want to stand, there's a stadium up north where they'd fit right in. If you stand up at the beginning, they'll have to stand if they want to see. It's a chain reaction thing.

I didn't think the crowd was quiet, but I also don't think they were loud. They got loud on some occasions but some of the times they should have been they weren't. I think it will get better as the year goes on. And I agree with the person who said we are spoiled. People need to stop taking these teams so lightly and they need to be as loud as the other big games.

I've been disappointed for years by the blue hairs who get mad if you stand at both the football and bball games. I wish the crowds were more vocal and into the games, but we are spoiled, as others have said.

Maybe our crowd is like most football teams, they can only get up for a couple of games per year, have some pretty good games and a poor one or two. Sometimes I think the team deserves more, at least I did not hear any boo birds today, I always feel it pathetic to boo college kids.

I can't really blame the lack of noise from our fans part. The games at the Shoe this year are pretty brutal. Who is gonna get up for YSU? Ohio? Troy? Purdue? Minnesota? Aside from Penn State and Michigan, no games stand out. We played USC on the road and travel to Sparty, Wisconsin and Champaign.

It was also really hot and that might play into fans' lack of interest in doing any "Extra activity."
Reallly hot? Are you kidding me? What the fuck was the temperature? 77? OHHHH NOOOOOO, BUT THE SUN WAS OUT!!!! Screw that. For anybody who bitched about the weather being to hot Saturday, that's going to be a future games, I hope it is 30 degrees, overcast, with flurries for the rest of the season. THATS WHAT BIG TEN FOOTBALL SHOULD BE PLAYED IN ANYWAY!

Did anybody see the atmosphere last night for Penn State? They play #22 in the country, and they go nuts. That place was rocking. Wisconsin is coming off one of the worst losses i've ever seen, and I bet Madison will be rocking Saturday night. Students need to get together, propose that the seating changes to first come first serve in student sections, and promote students getting to games on time.

Saturday was my oldest son's 7th birthday. I decided to spend a little coinc and get some good tickets to take him to his first Buckeye game ever. We were in the north endzone right below the north Block O of students (Sec 3A Row 2) My son and I had a great time and it was pretty loud where we were at!

Someone fill me in.. how does PSU get every fan to wear white.. even the oldies..

Not to mention it looks like the whole lower deck on both sides is filled with screaming, jumping, towel waving fans..

Do we give out more alumni seats or something? Cause it seems like their stadium is filled with bloody thirsty fans.. even the older ones..

I hate when Im watching the game, and a big play happens and they cut to the OSU crowd, and it's like 100 students waving red pom poms.. and a bunch of others just standing around doing nothing..

When i made it out the Wisconsin game last yr, i was in a student section around the 30 yard line.. and there we a bunch of older folks who had gotten tickets from their kids who were in the band or some other way.. and at first they were just sitting around.. but throughout the game the students were all up and yelling, and after awhile the older fans would join in... so i really think they need more young people in there to get the "vets" going a little bit..

It's also wierd cause in 2002 I thought the crowd was absurdly loud.. the whole stadium.. so maybe it's a complacency thing.. we were alot hungrier back in 02.. i think our fans have gotten way too spoiled
