For those who will be at the game today........

Let the cards fall...
The Shoe has been a damn graveyard this season. I completely understand that some lost their excitement after the loss to USC, most felt that we weren't in the Trojan's league. That very same invincible USC team lost on Thursday, that goes to show that anything can happen on any given Sat. Maybe we caught their absolute best, and they caught our absolute worst? Who knows, we just might find ourself back in the title hunt. I get the feeling that all hell is going to break loose in the college football world this year, we might find ourselves in a rematch with USC at seasons end, or possibly more. Add to the fact that Minnesota has a pretty sneaky good football team. They will be a bowl team this year, they are looking to build some program cred. Let's make it noisy today.

We, as fans, need to enjoy the rest of the season. This team is turning the corner, and needs the fans to unite today.......and do everything they can to help the Bucks win. Let's get the swagger back in Columbus, today is a good day to start........

I'll be at the game. I'll do my best, but if I'm in the same section as last year it'll be an uphill battle. Too many country club types. Maybe I'll wander around until I find somewhere I can get rowdy without interrupting someone's cell phone conversation. Hope there's a big ovation for Beanie's first play, it would mean a lot to him.

Go Buckeyes!!!

My guess is that you're preaching to the choir. The people who sit on their hands in a football game aren't the same people who frequent message boards.

But I agree with the "don't boo Todd Boeckman" deal. It shows the Ohio State fanbase as classless and I can't stand it. I won't be at the game, but if anyone in my basement boos him, I'll be sure to kick him in the face for you, 3074326.

In my post in the Troy game thread, admonishing the denizens of the planet to lead, I said the same thing. Those who come here have to help get the rest of the crowd jacked up. I'm sure many besides me have done this before, so you know what I mean.

Also in that post, I warned against people booing Todd at his Senior Day Introduction. I knew they would boo him at the game... People are People: Douchebags are Douchebags. Hopefully the people will bring the noise and the douchebags have been shamed into silence.

I, for one, am glad that the students are back in town. I'm glad there will be 30,000 of them. I'm glad there will be two Block-O sections. Those of you who are students need to keep the rest of the students jacked up. Things will be different, starting today.

A few points.

1. I like to listen to the radio at the games. Excessive noise makes that difficult. Please don't get carried away as you "break loose your hell" or whatever it is you call it.

2. I played golf yesterday and my legs are tired. I don't mind standing when the band comes in. And if you want to react to a play by standing after the play is over that is fine. But standing the entire game just looks silly and serves no purpose that I can see.

3. The smell of paint makes me nauseous. Freshly painted faces and torsos are unwelcome to fans of my generation. Besides which most young people are downright smelly with their shirts off. Maintain an appropriate level of decorum if you don't mind.

4. I pay a lot of money for my seats. I have been attending OSU games for many years. I have made a number of friends in my age group and we enjoy "catching up" on the latest news related to kids and grand kids during play. We are careful not to disturb those around us and ask only the same in return.

5. We have made it through three home games without a loss. Any additional points that might have been scored as a result of your yelling and screaming and general tumult would have simply been wasted. I just don't understand the point of embarrassing these visiting teams by large margins of victory. It borders on rude.

6. You can learn a great deal by modeling your behavior on folks like myself. If you see someone who is conservatively dressed and has a bit of gray around the temples (it used to be all gray - but most of that fell out) watch and learn.

(Oh, and item 3 does not apply to coeds.)

I didn't see or hear much of an improvement in todays game...Pryor throws a beautiful touchdown pass and people for golf clapping...?

Stay at home or go to a coffee shop if you want to catch up with your friends
