First, I am so sorry for your loss. Very similar over here for me. Lost my dad December 2023. Thought this was a season he put together. His name? Howard. Just gives me chills how it works out. Praying for you ! They are celebrating with us !

I am well aware of the division winners getting the bye and things kind of worked outwards from there.

Is it possible that Warde Manual being the head of the CFP Committee was able to steer the committee to place both OSU and OR into the middle of a extremely difficult gauntlet, with the aim to keep both from winning the natty?

TTUN is doing their level best to improve their nationwide goodwill, and be scene as a major player. What better way to do that than to try to keep their natty solo in the Big 10 for a couple years, and relegate OSU and OR.

It is very conspiratorial, but not out of the question completely.

If so, it backfired and only helped with OSU being seen once again as the big daddy.
