I’m sure they do want to chat. I would press the issue, discuss the game in great detail. Engage them by asking lots of questions. “Did you see your QB blow chunks after that first drive?” “That was really cool, right?” “Does your placekicker really suck so much to miss that chip shot?” “What do you think that poor cb thought when he had to cover Jeremiah Smith on that long pass?” They will thank you in the end.

I'd be more compromising.

Let's talk about the acoustics in the Mercedes Benz Dome then, if you don't want to talk about the game dear work chum. I'm no sound engineer but that FG clang was the loudest I've ever heard. What do you reckon could have been the cause?

I assumed they mic'd the uprights and they got the whole glorious shake recorded and not just the doink

He never sat through a whole game until the kick that went nowhere against UGA and the Bengals SB loss to the Rams. I told him to remember the feeling during those moments because it will make big wins mean so much more.

He sat with me the entire Texas game and it was by far one of my best experiences in life.

Last night he asked me if it is normal to feel nervous and have butterflies in your stomach before the game starts.

After that win I said now you know why I told you to remember those losses and I welcomed him to becoming a full member of Buckeye Nation.

My son is also 14. Seems to be a theme around here.

Last night he was absolutely not going nuts. For the Tennecheat, Oregon and Texas games, he was jumping up and down, yelling, screaming and yes swearing more than I was with the exception of the Sawyer scoop and score. Last night, he was locked in in a way I've only seen him do in wrestling and baseball but never for football. Kid was on point when he'd guess play calls and stuff too. Oddly enough, he kinda slowed down a bit in the 2nd half as the offense did as well, only to get really energetic again once the game was on the line. After the game, he belted out Carmen Ohio and I swear I didn't think he totally knew the words :lol:

They can do scary stuff with AI and predictions these days.
