Florida State reportedly makes contact with Penn State’s James Franklin

With Florida State looking to come to a relatively quick resolution on its job search, Penn State’s James Franklin has reportedly been contacted by the Seminoles. According to a report from Brendan Sonnone of 247 Sports, Franklin is being considered a top target to fill the vacancy in Tallahassee to lead the Florida State football program.





Florida State reportedly has some other candidates on its list of potential targets as well, including Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck, Memphis head coach Mike Norvell and Iowa State’s Matt Campbell.

Would be a step back for him. Team is a mess and he's already done the rebuild at state penn. Sharing a division with clemson isn't gonna be easier than being in the buckeye's division if/when he gets fsu to where he has psu now. Unless he thinks the nitwits are gonna get to rid of him or that dabo is going somewhere he's better off where he is.

my distaste for the cult aside, PSU is the better job

probably just playing games to get more $/LTC out of PSU

Norvell would be a shit show, there’s already numerous Bobby Perrine type rumors of coeds, and running quite the loose program. I used to live in Memphis(and my mom still lives), and met a number of alum. He will be like the Bowden and Fisher days
