Florida State Seminoles (official thread)

TPD imo. They can breathe a sigh of relief that they're not named in the civil suit and pretend like nothing happened.
Jimbo has to find another QB and the kid that played against Clemson doesn't look like it. Slashed tires are just the beginning of 2015 for Jimbo and his staff.
AD, FSU president, etc. will be going to court
According to the student body, Jameis is the victim... and it's not like TPD's blanket protection has gone for those who don't worship the football team

Police charged Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson with battery last month after he allegedly punched a woman in the face at a Tallahassee bar. Legally, it’s still “alleged,” but today the state attorney’s office released a portion of the surveillance footage. It does indeed appear to show Johnson punching a woman in the face.

The Tallahassee Democrat has a five-minute video on its site; the punch occurs about two minutes in. You can find it below:

According to records, the woman was waiting to order at the bar when Johnson tried to push past her. When she confronted him, he grabbed her arm, she swung, and he punched her in the face.

Florida State placed Johnson on indefinite suspension when the initial report came out.

That doesn't show the lead-in....to sum up from the full video:

She's trying to squeeze in between some other people to get to the bar and does so. He tries to squeeze in behind/next to her and is pushing against her as he does so. She turns around and says something to him and appears to try to push him away. He grabs her right arm and then this clip happens.

Inevitable Carlos Hyde comparisons coming. The major difference I see is that he had his hands on her before she took a swing at him. Oh, and this guy made serious fucking contact.

Fucking goddamned pussy-assed football players can't even take a weak-ass left-handed punch from a girl (not even a ninja!) without throwing a damned haymaker. I'm sure he was in fear of his safety and it was "self-defense".

I can hear it now...

Jimbo Fisher: Mr. Johnson (checks his 40 time) just "made a mistake" and (watches high school videos) deeply regrets his decision. How many of you "made mistakes" in the past and (looks at QB depth chart) were given a second chance? It's my job at Florida State to help young men (win a shitload of football games) develop into outstanding citizens which is why De'Andre will retain his scholarship. He will, however, be disciplined by sitting out the first half against Cupcake Tech as FSU has "zero tolerance" for violence against women.
