Florida Rematch in 2007?

You can say that, but you can't seriously deny that Tebow faced a lot of great defenses, and faced more situations than most other quarterbacks becoming first time starters this year.

Yea I remember seeing him make all sorts of audibles, line calls, etc... he does a great job reading the defense on those tailor-made draws. :roll2:

That's easily the dumbest statement I've read all week... and I've spent some time on ND boards.

He did exactly what he was told to do. When he had to pass (LSU) he did. that jump pass was ugly, but it certainly wasn't a bad play. That was supposed to be a run, but he passed for the TD.

Since it is so stupid, name an example that goes against what I said.
You're standing by that statement? :slappy:

LaFevour... 355 more pass attempts. Lewis... 316 more pass attempts. McCoy... 285 more pass attempts. Do you really need more?

Tebow had a lot of plays as a RB, very few as a QB, and nowhere near the ballpark of the average first year starter.

They started in 2006. I'm talking about QB's starting for the first time in 2007. Tebow didn't start in 2006.

Out of a freshman backup, what are you supposed to ask.

Is that supposed to be a question?

Just in case you were wondering, the question mark (?) is located on the lower right of your keyboard, diagonal from the space bar and just to the left of your right shift key.

He was a successful in a very limited and controlled fashion. He was in for what? Maybe 10 plays a game? Most of which he was just running draws or off the LT.
Next year he has to be the starting QB, big difference. He was successful last year, but his job next year is entirely different. The jury is still out if he can do that job. Deal with it.

You're absolutely right. No player in the country frustrated me more this past season than Tim Tebow. When he was brought into games, everyone in the stadium knew EXACTLY what was coming. I constantly wondered why no one was able to stop him. In reality, though, he didn't come into games until defenses were somewhat worn down and the situations were favorable to his style of play.

When he takes over as starter, he won't have the luxury of playing that same style for 4 quarters. Will he be able to trasition to a full-game QB capable of making throws and running a national championship-caliber offense? My guess is No, at least not well enough for Florida to be considered a Top 5 team. No one will really know for sure until the Fall.
