Florida Rematch in 2007?

Make that 21 throws for 3 TD... I refuse to count stats against DIAA competition (And I'll hold this true for next year too...)

And without the Western Carolina game, he's effectively Todd Boeckman....

And that's not meant as a slam on either player. That is meant to illustrate that making wide ranging predictions on how "Great" a player is going to be on such a small sample of playing time is simply STUPID.

Believe me, I watched plenty of SEC games. McFadden came in at QB because Arkansas didn't have a QB. Tebow has been playing this position for years, and he came in at big moments, and helped lead them to victory. Passing, McFadden had one TD against Florida that didn't matter, one against Tennessee that I must say wasn't fun to watch. :tongue2: Not sure where he got his third touchdown but I still don't think it's fair to make that same comparison.

Trying to spin a story around circumstances does not an argument make.

Fine, you can say what you want about numbers. We can both find ways to use them. But can you really say Tebow wasn't incredibly poised for a Freshman and very important to Florida's success. Ultimately, that is what you need to consider the most for next year, since his numbers won't carry over.

I don't know WHY you are trying to make that argument. You seem to want to pump up Tebow without any real supporting evidence, you make senseless arguments on the whole, can't handle it when you're told they make no sense and then start trolling/flaming/posting pictures of dead people.

I can say Tebow rarely screwed up when he was rarely asked to throw the ball. I'd say the same about McFadden. Both were primarily RBs who often received their own snaps.

Tebow has a lot more to prove before I bow before his QB abilities.

You can say that, but you can't seriously deny that Tebow faced a lot of great defenses, and faced more situations than most other quarterbacks becoming first time starters this year.

He was a successful in a very limited and controlled fashion. He was in for what? Maybe 10 plays a game? Most of which he was just running draws or off the LT.
Next year he has to be the starting QB, big difference. He was successful last year, but his job next year is entirely different. The jury is still out if he can do that job. Deal with it.

I can't deny that he came in with mop-up duty or a seriously TIGHTENED play book and ran SINGULAR plays and was immediately replaced by Chris Leak.

And the part I highlighted is absolute bullshit. You don't have a friggin clue what the hell you're blathering about.

I'm sure when he is gone, we will be caught for some sort of scandal that occurred under his watch. How else can he recruit so well with mediocre results.

Well at least your honest with yourself there.

Meanwhile, I thought you were done with this thread 7 posts (of yours) ago?????

Ok, what other QB who will start for the first time in 2007 has faced more situations like that than Tebow?
