Florida Gators (official thread)

In six or seven years there won't be a recruit born when that Glendale game took place. Like old Mutt fans yelling "Lindsay Scott" at millennial Gator fans. Just some esoteric history they do not get and which they care less than little about.
What game?

It's sad there won't always be people to remember how we finished Miami's dynasty and forestalled Notre Dame twice.

Disclaimer: I realize Fiesta has changed location, but meh

What Glendale game are you talking about? The game AJ Hawk owned Brady Quinn? That was a good game but I don't understand the connection.

Damn it! It is not nice to correct someone when they are trying to make a joke.
I remember that game in Tempe very well, had a glorious tasting Gordon Biersch beer right down the street from Sun Devil Stadium after it was over.

I was in Glendale also, but there's a 4-hour hole in my memory before finding myself at an In-n-Out Burger shortly after midnight.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On the same field where Ike Hilliard had the best game statistically of his Gators career – a career-high 192 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over Florida State in 1995 -- the University of Florida held commencement ceremonies Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Hilliard is finally a UF graduate, 21 years after he capped his college career with his most memorable game for the Gators, a three-touchdown, 150-yard performance against the Seminoles in the 1997 Sugar Bowl that delivered Florida its first national championship. Hilliard completed coursework this fall for his degree in criminal justice, fulfilling a promise he made to his late mother, Doris, and at the urging of his wife, Luly.
