Mr. Ubet - any concerns that in Urb's ability to attract/network to find the next great Gator assistant? Or will he promote from within?

Initial celebration in Bulldog land was tempered when the realization that UGA will now have to compete with UF for coaching talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Interesting tidbit, I met coach Strong my Sophomore year at Ashland, went to ND's football camp, he was coaching D-Line at that time. I didn't meet Urban who would have been with the WRs/Special Teams I think. Strong was a pretty hard nosed coach and a good motivator. I hadn't realized Urban pulled Strong with him to Florida.

I was pretty psyched to play D-Line after that summer, but I never got the chance. Our family ended up moving and I ended up starting at Offensive Tackle instead, despite asking for chances to practice with the defense. :sad2:

I'm absolutely JUICED about this hire. My cousin plays for Louisville, and he and alot of the players are ecstatic about it as well. Hopefully with time, Coach Strong will get Louisville back to respectability.

Hey Gatorubet, do you have any knowledge on what Florida assistants are coming with him? I heard Billy Gonzales was supposed to come be the OC, but then later I read he wasn't. Any info would be appreciated.
