Last year, alot of their offensive yardage came from luck plays that happened to work out in their favor. This year, the offensive line is alot better, and they are executing very well offensively. And they aren't turning the ball over nearly as much.
Agreed, the OL is much better and they are protecting the ball, but they haven't faced anybody capable of pressuring denard yet. We'll see how he handles some of the teams coming up that actually field a defense. MSU is solid, not good defensively, but they're better than anything they've seen. iowa is the game I'll be really watching. If he lights them up, he's the real deal.

A lot of quality players on that '06 team were freshman/sophmores. Also, Tressel won his NC with Coopers players. Great coaches (like Tressel and Meyer) can recruit AND coach. Frauds like the Zooker cannot do both.
Yes, which is why I said Zook sucked, but no matter how well Meyer or Tressel recruit and coach do you think either have a chance at winning a MNC in their second year if they take over Indiana?

The problem is that the suck was so evenly distributed between O and D and ST.

The Florida D hasn't been that bad from the parts I have seen. They have contained Richardson and Ingram for the most part. Usually when the turnover margin is -4, that team will lose most of the time.

I hope McElroy gets his teeth knocked out at some point this season. I'm not totally sure why.

Because he treats playing with that supporting cast as his birthright and that he is the reason for their success. Or at least that is the vibe I get.

I'd love to see him QB for Kentucky or Tennesse.
