Florida +7.5 at Bama (ov/un 47.5) Sat 8 ET CBS

The Florida board has been all about how predictable our play calling is with Coach A in charge. Everybody seems to know what we are going to do. Execution and better personnel will win against lessor teams that know what you are doing. Against a Bama you see.....this

Even Florida is allowed to have a down year. You guys will still have good year and your last recruiting class was crazy. Future is still bright for the gators.

Thanks. Yeah, we play more freshmen than anyone. But that is not a recipe for success this year.

Which makes it a great game and a rivalry, but not a top rivalry to either school, let alone nationwide, hence the mockery of that CBS hyperbole.

I think FL/GA is a better one than FL/AL... Who doesn't love COCKTAILS!

Oregon/Oregon State
FSU/Miami
OSU/Meatchikin
OSU/OU (when OkSt is good)

There's TONS of good rivalries...

Or, we can decide who we think are our rivals and how much stock we put in those rivalries ourselves ("top" or not) - instead of letting your opinion of how we should feel about it govern.

Which is my approach. :wink2:

I appreciate that you're still arguing with me about the validity of their claim while conceding the central point ("top") around which the entire mockery & argument is based. You'd make an excellent lawyer.

I don't care what the talking heads say the Big Ten is better than the SEC this year and Ohio State's schedule is tougher than Bama's and we don't even play either the second or third best team in the conference depending on what you think.

I'll take
Iowa over Arkansas (yeah the lost to Zona they also spotted them 21 points I'd take Iowa the next 9 times if that were played again.)
Wisconsin over LSU
I'll still take them if you disagree with me and switch the teams.

I'll concede
Florida over Michigan

OOC
I'll take
Miami over Penn State (suck's because it's a Big Ten team but the Canes are better)
The rest of both teams OOC sucks so that's a toss up.

If we had Nebraska in the conference this year it wouldn't even be close.

Sounds like us and PSU. PSU fans love to claim us as some sort of rival during their "up" years for some darn reason, same with some college football pundits. Our rivals are Illinois and Wishigan.

Ill agree this game features college ball's most premiere of schools, but not a rivalry.

No. But arguing with you is like playing army with the kid who refuses to admit he got shot. No matter how many people go "bang" he refuses to admit he was shot. In a similar fashion, my experience watching you argue here is that there are no facts or arguments anyone can make that will shake you off a point you have decided is settled.

So you can continue telling me why our rivalry does not pass Josh muster, and I will continue not to care.:wink2:

It really is so far down the list of things I give a shit about right now that you will win this with one more "last word" post.

umm...how are you getting these matchups and why are you leaving out Florida and Auburn.

I think...

Ohio St. vs Bama - i'd say Bama is better than us right now.
Iowa vs Florida - I think Iowa would beat them up handily atm
Mich St vs LSU - LSU's offense is atrocious so I again give the edge to us.
Wisconsin vs Arkansas - Ark would beat them up
after that who really cares?

Michigan vs Auburn - Auburn would stomp the Volverines.

after that though i'd say the bottom of the SEC is better than Minny, Indiana, Illinois would put up a fight.

If it played out that way, in the end the media would still see Bama beating us for a NC and give the SEC the nod in being superior and we'd never hear the end of the SEC SPEED!!!!!111!
