Florida 49, Georgia 10 (Final)

Gators silence the Bulldogs' barking with some chomping of their own -- OrlandoSentinel.com

They didn't address the controversy in the
media all week, but they certainly addressed
it on the field Saturday. Meyer wrote in his
recently released autobiography that Georgia's
celebration "wasn't right. It was a bad deal. It
will forever be in the mind of Urban Meyer and
in the mind of our football team. We'll handle it
and it's going to be a big deal."

Like UF's own strength and conditioning coaches.
They hung pictures of Georgia's end-zone celebration
in UF's locker room. They had UF's players do 188
crunches, pull-ups and sit-ups every day as a reminder
of the 188 yards Georgia tailback Knowshon Moreno
shredded them for last year.

:banger: Gettin' some heat back in the Cocktail Party Urban

Richt has been calling him "Meyers" all week. :slappy:

I think Tressel would respond quite similarly. I don't know if he'd allow some of the peripheral stuff, but I remember the year after Iowa beat OSU pretty badly, OSU had something of a statement game against Iowa. And that's not even a notable rivalry game.

ESPN - Hawkeyes' points come on second-half field goals - NCAA College Football Recap
The Hawkeyes embarrassed the Buckeyes 33-7 last year in IOWA City. Maybe the similarity in scores wasn't just a coincidence.
"It'd be crazy to think that score from last year wasn't in everybody's brain," Heacock said.
Or as Ohio State center Nick Mangold put it: "I hope IOWA left here today feeling the saw=me way we did a year ago."

enough of what? Debating whether an SEC rivalry was overdone? Debating whether or not the purdue fans opinion matters to us? Come on. Give me a break here, no one is breaking any forum rules. People are expressing their opinions on the situation, and "enough" isn't a fair response. If you say "this is against forum rules" fine, I'll take a ban, fuck, I started this whole conversation, but as I see it:

1) No bashing of the Bucks has happened.
2) No intentional faming.
3) no Trolling.

So... what the hell does "enough" mean?

I just overheard a conversation at the Jacksonville airport in which a UGA fan made a comment about the use of times out at the end of the game to which the UF fan reminded him about the stomp celebration. Funny stuff.

But as to the score of the game I am glad I only had to pay face value for the tix....I was hoping for a better game.

I haven't read this entire thread but I do not think I need to in order to say that I think Florida is probably the best team in the country and probably should play for the National Championship. They have so many weapons I just don't see how you can defend a team like that and they are extremely fast... unfortunately.:(

Why heck LitlBuck , you don't need anything to give your opinion, and if this is the way you feel in spite of the fact that the gators have lost and that the season is far from over then go right ahead and shout it out.
I think that there are plenty of teams that could beat Fla. on any given day.

To:
be the preseason number One
hold the ball almost three minutes longer than your opponent (31+ to 28+ minutes),
have 400 yards of total offense,
rush for over 100 yards against not only a good running defense, but a rival that wants to crush you,
be penalized for 20% less yards than your opponent,
have to punt only twice (and average 40 yards per),
be a member of the all powerful / unbeatable SEC,

and still lose.

How dare they?

I don't like Florida, or the knob Urban Meyer, but: Wow!
