Florida 41 at Kentucky 7 (final)

Heck, it's not even Tebow that I hate, it's Super Tebow that the media has built him up to be. Would never wish any harm on him. I don't hate him.

I just want him to graduate already and go away to the Philippines or Tibet or somethin' for the next 30 years. :tongue2:

move along folks, nothing to see here, TT "just got his bell rung" so Kiff won't be able to take another shot at the Gators. Kiff will have a hard time slighting "upper respiratory and congestive illness" too. no worries.

Concussion: Symptoms - MayoClinic.com

Signs and symptoms of a concussion may include:
  • Confusion
  • Amnesia
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Slurred speech
  • Fatigue

bolded are the ones we know for fact.

When to see a doctor
While most concussions get better on their own, some blows to the head can cause more-serious injuries. Seek medical advice if you have any of the following symptoms:
  • Prolonged headache or dizziness
  • Vision or eye disturbances, including pupils that are bigger than normal (dilated pupils) or pupils of unequal sizes
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Impaired balance
  • Prolonged memory loss
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Loss of smell or taste
once again things we know for fact are bolded. he was without question glassy eyed with dilated pupils when they sat him up. i personally would argue he was plenty confused at that point but have no real evidence to back it up. he absolutely 100% needed to go to the hospital. i don't want to do any judging, but him vomiting should NOT have been the deciding factor. that decision should have been made long before he made it to the sideline.

When Dwight Schrute had a concussion he was still able to drive his Camaro to save Michael from his Foreman grill. Kinda makes Tim Tebow look like a pussy.

That's absurd. It was still a three possession game in the third quarter. The starters were in for good reason.

It's not absurd, he started the game with the flu. I'm not saying it was time to put in the JV squad but with him not being 100% to start with, it makes it an injury more likely. And KY wasn't doing anything on their end.

Besides, how much of a lead do you need before you pull your sick players?

When the game is well in hand in the 4th quarter...

I'm just glad he didn't die.

When he woke up three days later, the game would be over...

I'd say you'd need enough of a lead that a comeback is unimaginable. The Buckeyes have a virtually identical lead at that point in the game. Should Tressel have pulled Pryor?

Illness makes injury more likely? Prove it.

Tebow isn't hurt because he had the flu. He's hurt because a 265-lb. monster came untouched and blew him up. The only difference the flu makes is that it's gonna hurt like a bitch to blow his nose.

Are you kidding me?

He's going to be the best H-back playing Quarterback in the NFL next year - and unfortunately for him (and us fans), it'll be for the Browns too

I knew that would come up. No he shouldn't have, but Pryor needs reps, Tebow doesn't. And Pryor doesn't have the flu. My issue isn't only Tebow being in the game at that point, but still being in the game and having the flu.

I can't, so you disagree, fine, but Tebow hasn't made a career of taking shots from 265lb monsters, right in the face. It's conjecture sure, but it's at least reasonable to me that he may have been less alert due to being sick.

Depends on how bad it is, it can definitely reduce your alertness. Your are not supposed to fly planes or operate heavy machinery with moderate or worse flu symptoms. If he was bad enough to warrent a separate charter flight, I think it's pretty likely he was at least moderate.
