Florida +10.5 at tOSU (ov/un 136.5) Tue 8 ET, ESPN2 (don't merge)

Good Win for us. I liked a lot of what I saw from this young team. It looked like we got stronger as a team as the game went on.
Smith, Rave, and Thomas gave us some great offense in the 2nd half.

Liked the way the 'young' Bucks played (young in years, but long in the tooth basketball-wise). Thought that Craft and Lenzelle combined to become "Lighty" tonight. I saw David's moves in both of them, giving themselves up offensively to choke off Florida defensively.

Also believe that Desaun will win us more games with his "O" than lose them with his non-existent "D". The reason Sullinger didn't look overly awesome on the boards is the simple reason he didn't have to. Ravenal filled in admirably. That is another presence that will make a difference down the road. Ravenal's a big body and he knows how to play. The 'bigs' touch outside was (at least to me) incredible. That means that they won't be able to choke it off down low, giving either or a one-on-one opportunity, rather than allowing the other team to double-down on either. Great win for da Bucks, and maybe shows them that they can play as a team and win. Home cookin' is always nice, but why didn't they just stand on the three point line, there in the final two minutes. Almost like a prevent defense.....anyway, enjoyed the comeback and then withstanding the Gator's offensive run with a run of their own. Sweet.

Second year in a row ESPN cuts into an Ohio State-Florida CBK game during the 24-hour marathon.

Did it last year with a women's basketball game ending (maybe UConn-Baylor, but not certain).

Thought ESPN had multiple channels for a reason.

Solid win. Florida played about as good as they could most of the first half and still trailed at halftime. Buckeyes are only going to go 7-8 deep in rough games which is about what I expected. We have a lot of guards that can dig in and defend and Craft is an elite defender which we knew anyway.

Everyone contributed. Still, we need a second guy to hit perimeter shots or teams are really going to clog the middle on Sullinger.

Eight deep is enough, and we know that there are some other special players on that bench, such as Thompson, Williams, and Scott. When we get Ross back he could be that extra scorer from deep. He has elite offensive basketball skills. He could easily elevate our team from elite to unbeatable...

Drives me nuts being so anxious that some day some team is going to foul us 80 times.. assuming we're gonna be 50% at the line again

We sure got spoiled being the 3-point team from hell... loved watchin us rain the 3s last year...

was at the game...observations:

i remember us having trouble with the pick and roll at the top of the key last year, especially when it was diebler who was supposed to switch and we had problems with it again tonight...we adjusted tho and looked better when thomas was on murphey after the switch...could still use some work on this

beal is a stud...i think he will be the best freshman in the ncaa at the end of the year...he was helping florida establish their uptempo offense early when they were having great success pushing the ball up the court quick and finding an open guy to hit a 3...guy is very athletic and has a great all around game...did have i think 5 turnovers but other then that i liked what i saw...

ravenel had a great game...if he can hit open shots like he did from 20 ft i will be very happy...lot of ticky tack fouls on craft and sullinger...good to see scott step up when he had to...lenzile smith and thomas both had good games...they should both only get better

we did a great job last year handling the full court press...i was actually happy when teams did it to us because it usually meant craft manuvering around the defenders and finding a wide open thomas or sullinger around the basket...maybe this will work against lesser opponents then florida who were solid defensively...but i was not happy seeing craft trying to dribble between 2 defenders with no help...

last year we beat teams by hitting 3's and this game showed we dont need to hit 3's to beat a quality opponent...florida was pretty lights out first half shooting 3's, i was hoping they would go cold and they did in 2nd half putting us up by 16...but they made their run and made the game close...we should only get better at finishing games...

overall great game...bad and good having an tough opponent second game with so many new faces and roles this year but this should make us stronger when we face Duke...great win for the buckeyes
