2021 FL WR Troy Stellato (Clemson Verbal)

I think the writing was on the wall for a while, the fact that the staff is now heavily pursuing Leary shows that they knew his ship had sailed

Yeah what they're saying now over at 11W is Stellato wants to play on the outside while OSU sees him in the slot and prefers guess who on the outside. Whether that is coming from Stellato or OSU I don't know.

Ranking the Contenders: Troy Stellato

n9jinlaowq3idtfherzb

One of the most unpredictable prospects in the country, Rivals100 wide receiver Troy Stellato doesn’t have much clutter in his recruitment. The South Florida-based star recently announced his final two schools, leaving just Ohio State and Clemson in the running to secure his commitment. Below, we rank the two programs left in the hunt by their chances of actually winning the battle.

1. CLEMSON

Clemson seems to have a significant edge here, as Stellato has been incredibly high on the Tigers since he first visited campus back in November. Ohio State once looked like the leader, but those days seemed to end when 2019 did. Stellato brought his father along for his most recent trip to campus, which seemed to solidify Clemson’s standing as the frontrunner. New wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham has made haste when it comes to forming a bond with the four-star wide receiver and that could pay off with a big commitment.

2. OHIO STATE
Once seen as the leader, the Buckeyes will have to play catch-up in the Stellato Sweepstakes. The Buckeyes still have a fighting chance here but need to hope the South Florida-based star decided to embark on another round of visits before making a commitment. When the Covid-19 crisis will allow such a thing, however, is anyone’s guess. If Stellato announces a commitment before he gets back on campus at Ohio State, that commitment will almost certainly be to Clemson.

OSU pumps out pro's and possible national champs. Clemson pumps out possible national champs.
Clemson has twice as many national titles as we've had during the CFP. They also turn out a pretty impressive amount of draft talent including an incredible three DL drafted in the first 17 picks (#4, #13, #17) in the 2019 draft. Oh yeah, we still haven't beaten them yet (well, technically...we did "beat" them about five months ago). Clemson can have Stellato, we'll take Egbuka.
