He’s not high enough on the board for Ohio State to deal (or compete) with the Southern circuit off cash money visits while he’s committed, and apparently the lure of the cash money circuit was too much for the family to forgo in order to stay committed in good standing with Ohio State.
i.e. Ohio State said if you want to stay committed you can’t be a hassle for us by taking other visits all the time, and he said “cya.”

Looking through Boggs father’s recent Twitter posts and replies… let’s just say 1) Boggs is NOT re-committing here, 2) His son (Jaylan) deleted post of: “go where you’re needed, not wanted” set off a few arguments between him and Buckeye fans.
Sounds like he was never bought in or just scorn because of the bevy of talent in town this weekend.

Not meh, but surprising that these are his 2 finalists. Not any of the FL Big 3, not anyone in the SEC, or even a B1G team. Just shocking to me tbh

I seriously don't even stress over WRs anymore. There's a million great ones. The JJs are obviously different but he's the 1 in a million
